😮‍💨 Disappointing. First I was told 320 to take out twists, wash and re-twist my hair (no blow dry, no conditioner). As an afro salon, I shouldnt have to explain basic things about black hair, like detangling from the ends to avoid pain, breaking and knots. Or evenly dividing my hair across my whole head (and not in-half) so that the rows would be even. At one point, the rows were slanted, and I had to tell the stylist to redo two lines. For someone who is supposed to be a professional at this, its definitely from a lack of caring about the quality of what youre doing -- and then to try to add an extra, uneven row to hide the mistake before fixing it. But finally, to then try to charge me an additional 30aed because my hair tangled during the wash and I have a lot of hair. Its black 4c hair. It does that. Trying to upcharge me at the end, likely to compensate for the additional time the stylist took to redo the rows she messed up, is unacceptable. Id expect more respect and expertise from a Black salon. Id give if one star, big the wash-lady did a very good job getting my hair clean.Based on the other negative reviews youve received, this is the part where youll call me a liar or make some ridiculous excuse. Go ahead -- I wont be back anyway.

I began going here about a year ago and I couldn’t be more happy with the results. The ladies are professional and know exactly what I want each time I go. Precious works wonders to my hair as I’m finally starting to see growth and fullness return after many years in Dubai. Fast service with fabulous women who make you feel amazing walking out of the salon. My go to for any hair needs!

They wasted my time and kept givingdifferent information just to extort me.The dark nigerian lady was super rude.The indian lady washed my hair and quite frankly.I think you should only let african ladies tend to african hair.She didnt even wash it properly…i was so dissapointed after waiting in line for 4 hours.I would not recommend.Update:I have posted a video of myself on your page while I was at your salon.You don’t have to get defensive whenever customers write a review,I have noticed a pattern and this is absolutely pathetic.Train your staff and you won’t have to deal with these kinds of reviews.Thank you.

Not serious…The first time I can everything was all right, I booked my appointment, they told me the price on the phone 150 aed to do braids for men but the 2 other time tey tried to charge me 300 aed for the same work, I’ve accepted to pay 200 aed but now it’s the forth time I come and I booked an appointment, i’ve done all the road and before the work they told me it’s 250 aed and it’s unacceptable so I left they salon and will never come again. I don’t recommend you guys.

Worst customer service in Dubai! My friend and I came to Afrobeauty so my friend could have new hair she bought fixed. When we got to the salon, the employee who greeted us (Rita) told us that to fix the hair as a weave would be 350 dirhams. She said, however, that getting a wig made and put on would be 400 after her boss agreed to reduce the price down from 450. We appreciated the negotiation and my friend went with the wig option because that would be more economical in the long run.When we returned to the salon 4 hours later so my friend could get the wig put on, all hell broke loose. Rita informed us that to unpack my friend’s corn rows, wash her hair and glue the wig would be an additional 150 dirhams! We calmly asked why she didn’t mention that big extra charge in the first place, to which she started laughing and saying that part was obvious. We asked her to please call her boss, who had just stepped out, to find a fairer price seeing as Rita failed to mention the charge. To make matters worse, my friend became so frustrated at the situation that she started crying. We spent 30 minutes trying to get anything - a better price, a phone call to the owner, even an apology. No luck. Rita and EVERY OTHER employee in the salon literally stood there saying and doing nothing. There were no other customers in the salon at the time, so their actions couldn’t even be justified by a busy shop. When we finally got someone to respond, Rita and one other employee tried defending their unclear explanation, even though the other employee wasn’t even present earlier that day. Still worse, the quality of the wig my friend got back was mediocre at best.This was by far the worst experience I have had in Dubai. No one deserves to be treated this way, let alone for an expensive service rendered that leaves you stranded.UPDATE in reply to the owners reply - The owner is simultaneously claiming she replayed the whole scenario on the salon cameras, and that we rushed out of the salon to go see a movie AND catch a 4 PM flight. This is obviously not possible and the only mention of any of the above was a movie we wanted to see 6 hours after my friends initial 1 PM appointment. We discussed the timing because the salon staff told us it would take 4 hours to make the wig, and we wanted to be sure wed have enough time to make the movie on time. Ironically, after the debacle at the salon, we did indeed miss the movie.I truly resent the owners accusation that we came into the salon to cause drama and that I posted to be deliberately malicious. I gave a fair and accurate recounting of what happened and, unlike the owner, chose my words carefully. She has offered no concession on her or her staffs part, even though the entire situation escalated quickly at the hands at her poorly trained staff. We took a chance on this salon, and it backfired. I would encourage everyone to stay away. Its not worth the stress.

I can not say enough about the excellent customer service about this place. It felt like a place where every woman is welcome, and treated amazingly. Not to mention that the salon is very pretty and looks very professional. I got the impression that this would be a perfect place to get braids, weaving and other protective styles and they would be perfect(one of the clients got perfect cornrows). The lady was also very knowledgeable about the health of my hair and recommended a great treatment that revived it. When it came to my styling, I had more of an iron rather than silk press and my hair was quite stationary(satellite) and this was partly because my hair was blow dried quite a lot on high heat. When I did ask about this at the start of styling, I got the classic your hair texture remark which was not very true as I have had perfect presses in the past. I was however already in too deep. Overall review: very great salon and good people.

Got my braids done here today and it was a night and day difference compared to another salon I went to! So much better! Thank you to Rita, her hands are blessed! She put time and attention into my braids and really made sure they were done neat and finished properly. Definitely recommend this salon and will always return here whenever I am in Dubai 👍

Was there today, the treatment was good so far. In the future, please ensure that special services should be discussed with the customer. Especially as a tourist when you dont have a lot of budget, its not easy to deal with high prices.

I stumbled upon the salon on Google and went to check it out about two weeks ago. Service was efficient and professional. Staff very polite. I was very happy with my hair. I forget my stylist name but she did such a stellar job straightening my very difficult hair. Plus the owner Jo I think was her name was warm engaging and such a delight. I can tell she runs the salon with excellence. Keep up the great work. Will surely be back

Precious gave me life with her color blending. I am loving my hair. The ladies were sweet and funny, yet they worked so quickly. I was out a lot faster than I expected. They were very patient with me and determined to give me the box braid colors I wanted. Also, the manicurist was on it. They worked in sync. I definitely recommend this place. I’d give it even more stars if possible. I love them!

It was one of the best salon I’ve been too. The staff was soo cordial made me feel really welcomed. After all the services I felt like a woman is supposed to: beautiful hairstyle, nice nails, they even take care of your eyelashes and eyebrows. I did a protective hairstyle to grow my hair due to heat damage, and I got to try their 3D eyelashes extension. They thought me about the process, the atmosphere was relaxing. I spent the whole day there and it did not feel like I was there that long because the girls were outgoing, professional and very nice. If you ever in Dubai I would go check them out.

Called that morning!Got an appointment that afternoon( covid season)things are a little more spaced out. Which was a plus.The young women who shampooed my hair A+. I have alot of hair she got in there cleaned conditioned treated my hair blow dryed it and smoothed it out but kept a great attitude my hair worked her lol❤.2 ladies for braiding they gave me what I asked for. They just about mirrored each other as they worked. And completed my entire head of medium box/medium parts.Definitely have my business for next time it was affordable and even I admit I dont think my tip was enough next time I will do better.Very clean chill place you have to walk inside the building it was easy to find if you are paying attention to the picture on Google.Hope this is helpful!

After my 3rd visit in the saloon, I can confidently tell that this place is a match. I found assistance, listening and as a matter of fact, they have my trust to take care of my nails and my hair. Juliana is the person I can trust and all the team is super polite and nice.

The salon is clean and presentable but the hair stylists, they need training.They overcharge and the quality of service is below average.My hair looked better coming into the salon then leaving, which is a FIRST. I am supposed to look better leaving the salon but in this case it looked like a 5 year old was playing in my hair.During the blow dry, the stylist kept pulling my hair, obviously she doesn’t know how to blow dry because a blow dry is not supposed to be painful.These ladies need to go back to cosmetology school because they really don’t know how to cater to different hair textures.Would I ever come back? NoWould I recommend this salon? Never

Discovered this salon recently and was pleasantly surprised by the polite and friendly styling team who were open to feedback. The owner is lovely, provides excellent customer service and makes you feel at home. I have gotten my hair box braided twice there now so I can vouch for neat, quick and beautiful braiding.

Sure, I’ll leave a review since you asked.I recently got a sew-in at this salon. It was so tight I had bumps on my temples, and headaches that made it difficult for me to sleep. I kept it for two days and then took it down. I also do not think the yarn used to do the sewin is good for all types of hair. I didn’t call to complain because I was just trying out the salon and I now know that it doesn’t meet my standard.I think the ladies were really kind though (that’s why I didn’t want to leave a review). Unfortunately, I was not satisfied with the styling/outcome.

I visited the salon yesterday for a sew-in weave.The owner is such a lovely presence. Making sure all the clients were comfortable and accommodated to.I made an appointment 1 day before and was seen to immediately over walk-ins. Very professional which is sometimes rare in salons.My stylist ( i think her name is Flora.. sorry if its wrong) did an amazing job on my sew-in weave and listened to all my requests ( I am very particular when it comes to how my hair is done!!).Overall great service and experience!

Wow i really love Afrobeauty salon ... it the best ever in Dubai. The salon is clean and it always looking fresh. The staffs are all professionals. I really love my eyelashes ans and wig. Finally, my search for an Afro salon is over, sorry its taken me this long to write this review, I visited 2 weeks ago and had a concept in mind, however when I arrived and the owner listened to what I wanted and made suggestions on what I should do. What I liked the most was that my stylist was very patient and gentle with my hair as I was very apprehensive with having a full weave, she also listened to my suggestions and incorporated them into the style which turned out much better than I expected. The owner is such a lovely joyful person and really makes a difference to the overall experience.

I can really highly recommend that Salon and these gorgeous Ladies! Super friendly, professional and it was very easy to make an appointment for the next day. Im soo in love with my cornrows they did it way better than I had expect it. Send a picture of the style that I wanted to many salons and no one thought that they can do it like that! Also big sortiment of wigs and other stuff you definitely have to go to them when youre looking for a special braided hairstyle A++++❤❤❤❤💯

Afrobeauty salon is just an amazing salon with such kind and friendly staff and I’m in love with my braids. The manager Joan is so friendly and is so nice. Overall Afrobeauty is an amazing salon where you can get more than just braids because there are so many options which is amazing! I am a Londoner living in Saudi Arabia and was in Dubai on holiday, and for the first time in my life I felt that this salon was if not the same, then better than what I was used to in London. Its very difficult to find salons that can deal with Afro and curly hair in Arab countries. Joanne whos in charge, as well as the staff are so professional and I was so pleased with the service. Very relaxing environment. Better than what I expected.

I had a groups of friends that were waiting my recommendation because they heard about this place and I was excited to bring back good news but this is not the case. I feel that It was very overpriced and not the same as to competition elsewhere. Please ask around fir prices before booking with them. I realized I was charged double the amount for my style of braids when I call around and asked for prices. For medium knotless box braids I was charged 1380 AED with hair included. It really saddens my heart because I feel like I was taken advantage of.I should have called around before but I was recommended this place and read all the reviews. Feedback is that website should have prices listed with pictures, this make sure the prices are fair and certain people aren’t being overcharged.

Am a regular here and every time I walk in the salon I always leave with a big smile on my face. Very friendly staff and the owner takes good care of the customer which is so nice of her. They deliver their services beyond your expectations and I like the fact that they give you advice on your hair / hairstyle incase you have a damaged hair like mine. Am so glad to come to know about Afrobeauty Salon!Very friendly, welcoming and professional staff. I loved how my hair was done just the way i wanted, especially after trying many salons. As well as my nails, fabulous!What impressed me the most the honest advices i got from the lovely owner Joaane, about resting my nails from gelish and just get a normal nail polish instead, thats definitely make her loose money but i won my nails. I love it here so much and i always come back :)

This place is frustrating and I wouldn’t advise even my enemy to visit this salon. Referring to my friend’s post about getting a wig made and fixed today, in reply to the owner’s reply, I don’t understand. Are you saying that we had both had a 4 PM flight to catch AND we wanted to go see a movie, even though we came into the salon for a 1 PM appointment? You have clearly confused your customers!Would love to see the footage where your employee told us the price for installation in addition to the wig cost. I find it difficult to understand how both my friend and I misheard what was said. I also still don’t understand why your employees treated me the way that they did. I am telling you they made me cry, and you are saying we are being malicious. I think your reply sums up the atmosphere of the “honest” business you are running. Very disappointing.

I just got done with my box braids and once again the ladies did a magnificent job!!!! I have been going to them for a year. You can see my picture of the braids on their facebook. I miss Afrobeauty so much. I got my weave done by Sarah for years - such a talented group. Gentle hands but that weave would really last! I used to get so many compliments.Eventually my own hair grew so much, I decided to take the weave out. I love it now, but would recommend Afrobeauty to anyone :)

After checking online the prices are less but when u ask the salon there they try to charge you more . Really bad experienceI asked for blow dry they said 170 and then they add 100 dhr only to curl the hair ! Just because they tough I’m tourist ! Just be carful when you go there .

The most friendly staff from any Afro hair salon Ive gone to in Dubai over the last five years of living here.On my initial visit, Joan the owner, gave me a proper plan on how her team has going to take care of my hair over the next few months in an effort to address my hairs concerns thinning edges and split ends... My first ever weave.I lost my mind in lockdown and shaved my head to let the grey grow. Fast forward to October and I hate my short hair!I visited the salon yesterday and had a full cover sew in weave installed and it’s glorious.The hair is beautiful quality and the salon staff are absolutely lovely. I feel like myself again.Something they don’t tell you is the weave gives a mini brow lift.. 100% my forehead has fewer lines! I actually cancelled my Botox appointment for today lol.I’m not an African girl and the staff coped well with the challenges of working with short European hair. We had lots of laughs and the atmosphere in the salon is fun and friendly.The colour work on my weave is gorgeous, exactly what I wanted. I couldn’t be happier.I’ll be back for tightening and nails for sure!

The girls are very friendly and very competent, I loved that Elina knows how to work an afro hair and also she is one of the best hairdressers in dubai. 100 percent I recommend this place, because it is attention, kindness and an excellent price.

Professional service with friendly staff. Found this salon while on vacation in Dubai, it met my expectations so I always stop in for a touch up or a quick fix if ever i find myself in the area code. I especially recommend their braids!

Wouldnt recommend for hair colouring at all. Asked to dye copper but ended up with blonde, after the front lady had insisted on bleaching first. Hair now looks bleached with no colour and will probably have to go somewhere else to correct it or cut but considering how expensive they charge for it they dont seem to have very good idea of it Apart from that the lady who did it was kind, gentle with my hair. Other services probably good.

I went there to iron my hair ! The lady act as if I owe her money very rude and moody plus the salon was hot I was sweating while doing my hair I mean woww ! The service was below average!! I thought they will have a decent service at least for the hair ! Omg such a waste of time and money am not going there again and people save ur money and try different salon ! i would give no star normally but its not an option !

I’ve been coming to Afrobeauty for a few months not and i love getting the Senegalese twists !! They do a lovely deep conditioning treatment that left my hair soft and conditioned while it was in my Senegalese twists! I’ve recommended to all my friends and the prices are affordable and reasonable !

I came here last year to get my hair twisted. They were quick and the style lasted a very long time. When I returned this year I was sure to go get my hair braided again. If i return next year Ill be back for sure.

My nails are bleeding from the manicure and I still had to pay for it. They did not have any cream for the cuts and are still bleeding 2 hours later. I had to go to another nail salon for them to treat it.

Came in to purchase extensions and ended up getting box braids done here by Rita and Sarah. Not only did my hair get done in time but it turned out amazing and it didnt hurt.

Very expensive, unfriendly staff that for whatever reason is only available to cut hair after 5 p.m even though the store was empty... Location is not good as well and difficult to find.there are much better alternatives in Dubai !!

So my review is due, I made my hair here more than 4times,they nailed my hair each time,the saloon is a beauty as well but most especially what I loved most is they made me feel comfortable,first time I went in,my baby was crying and d owner jo took her, played with her, put her to bed and that was all I needed to know I was in a right place, that got my heart ❤❤❤ the staff re awesome, the last time the new woman made me laugh and we talked the whole time with me so I wouldnt be bored and I had fun..... It was nice making my hair dere......all d best guys and keep it up...

Really bad staff (not the receptionist)They don’t even know how to say no to a customer and making them understand some sort of braiding isn’t possible for short hairSuch an insult it was having loud conversations in front of other customers making me feel very uncomfortable being there and wasted my time

Found it expensive for what I had... 250dirhams for wash and press.Staff were pleasant and place clean.Styling not up to the standard Im used to but not completely awful I guess.

I had a really bad experience from here. The staff are not friendly and they charge ridiculous amount just to style a wig and she later did it wrongly. It’s okay to say I don’t know how to do it than to ruin someone’s wig. I had my lashes fixed also I told the technician that I don’t want any hard lash on my eyes and I want a natural look but guess what, she fixed hard ones. These workers there need improvement.

Very delighted with my visit to beauty hat, very professional, I recommend and thank you to the boss and Precious for the magnificent work.

Superb professional room for African women but the highlights are much too expensive, it is better to bring your own.
