I will suggest not to go to monroe salon in downtown branch . i got my keratin done and it was zero result my hair was much better earlier when before i got it done … better not to waste money and after giving thm genuine feedback manager called me up and scolding me and using abusive language ..

Its not at all a good Salon I got my services done and pair close to good amount in AED but zero results and staff was very rude and admant Never recommend anyone to visit them.

Firstly language is such a barrier. Always they ask for a translator. The technicians needs to understand the clients request and work with that and not force the client to like their work. I DONT like artificial looking lashes yet they always insist it looks good. When I finally was happy with Asel who made sure she does what I liked she was moved to another branch. The receptionist told me the other tech was also good however she has failed to do what I wanted. Very big disappointment for a place that is not cheap.

I was sitting getting my nails done and it was the owner, shouting at one philipino lady because she made a mistake with her “sandwich “. She threw the thing in front of all the customers who were there (it was busy with clients, all the technicians working) and kept on sayin! I don’t want cheese , how can you be SO STUPID, I’m so hungry ! Such embarrassing situation… Absolutely unprofessional and unacceptable. I feel sorry for the girls working in there, I will never come back to this place.

This is my forever favourite salon. They have the best nail technicians in Dubai. I have tried so many salons previously but now I’m very loyal to monroe! I also do Lash extensions there they have the best trained technicians for everything. 100% recommended

I have been to Monroe and Me many times, but I am finished with this place. Their Russian nail techs are good at styling nails, however the level of hygiene and cleanliness is unacceptable. The place is overcrowded, dusty and uncomfortable and their hygiene practices are appalling, I have a toe infection after getting a pedicure there, the technician cut very deep and it is extremely painful and uncomfortable. There are many other nail salons in Dubai that offer the same level of nail art, I highly recommend you try somewhere else for a better experience and value for money.

I have been visiting the salon for 2 years now. The services are very good, however some of the staff are incredibly unprofessional. Yesterday i went to get my hair done with a protein treatment they posted on their insta “599 for all hair lengths” , I showed the lady “mary the pakistani” the picture of the promotion after she greeted me very nicely and complemented my dress, she then said of course your hair is gonna be more that 600 because it’s very long (noting that my hair is shorter than the lady in the insta promotion) , i told her it is not my problem, you wrote all hair lengths. She then became very aggressive, pulling my hair, giving me directions without saying please and burnt my ear and did not apologize. After that she left the treatment on my head and didn’t advise how long it will be before she comes back, neither did she give any aftercare instructions, i had to listen to the other lady next to me advising her client. I’m not sure if she gets a commission of scamming people or her management pushes her to, but it was a very unpleasant experience.

I LOVE this salon, I’ve been using Monroe for the past 2.5years now and I can never go anywhere else for my nails - they are the best.Victoria is my technician and she has so much attention to detail, I’ve never been disappointed - not once.I have polygel overlay done on my own nails and usually a fun design or colour.It does take longer than a standard gel manicure - 2-3hrs depending on what I’m doing - but it’s totally worth it as they last for 3 weeks before I need refill and never chip or break and I get my pedicure and eyebrows done at the same time so it’s ok.They recently refurbished the downtown branch (it’s lovely) which is where I prefer to go and where Victoria is based but I visited the new Al Barsha branch whilst Victoria was there during renovation and the salon is super nice too.I honestly never knew I could have “instagram nails” until I found this salon 🥰

Visited this downtown salon yesterday for their offer for Brazilian blowout nano keratin protein. Everything rubbish it’s scam . When I saw the offer lady told me it will remain for 3 to 4 month straight and frizz free but the hair stylish told me it won’t remain only for 2 days as weather is hot . Are u serious I paid 599 for hair which will remain for 2 days .The lady who did my hair was in very much hurry kept pulling my hair . She used one product on my hair and left for 45 mins then blow dry then used iron that’s it such simple process and 599aed . As shown in add my hair was nothing like that no glossy look just simple straighten hair 🙄.Secondly the lady at reception was charging me 150 aed for my daughters front hair cut without wash and blow dry. When I told her then she said it’s 100 aed are u serious for kid just front hair trim . Looks like ur salon is going in drain that u are looting extra money from clients.Ladies pls check the offer properly . Wasn’t happy with their service even after I ended paying them 945 aed for their scam .

Ive been doing nail extensions at several places for over 4 years, this place has to be the worst.From hygiene to customer service, it was just not acceptable. Im not sure if it was just my luck as I can see some good reviews here, but my experience just wasnt it.From the moment I entered the salon there wasnt a good atmosphere, I arrived 10 minutes prior to the appointment while the nail tech was over 10 minutes late (which is okay if followed up by an apology, which was not the case), and during that time I was left unattended and no one asked if I needed anything to drink, or just apologized for the inconvenience and not respecting the time.When the nail tech arrived and started working on my nails, she was extremely rough removing the cuticles and almost all my finger were left bruised and despite stressing that out over and over, she just proceeded to wipe off the blood without apologizing. The hygiene was also horrible with no prior sanitization for the nail tools, even the UV lamp was dusty from the inside and out, prior client nails were there as well.The nail tech was rude, lazy, and my nails ended up wonky and thick from the sides, so there wasnt a single positive aspect from my experience.Their instagram photos can also be deceiving as I requested the same nail tech who did what appeared to be a good set of nails, however I didnt receive the same.I personally, wouldnt recommend their services, Ive never done Google reviews except for once, but this time, I had to.

Terrible service. Disaster. The female hairdresser doesn’t even know how to do a simple BLOWDRY! I specifically mentioned that I have an event to attend within hours and that I want my hair to be curled towards the ends of my hair but she was unable to do even something as simple as this. It wasn’t a completed updo or haircut or anything. Basic BlowDry. Throughout the service they kept nagging and bad mouthing their fellow colleague, and yelling from someone from the front of house to run to Carrefour and the pharmacy nearby to get hairpins and clips, disturbance and nuisance of yelling aside, they couldn’t even get these materials, and my hair looks awful. So limp, lackluster and honestly this is a nightmare. At the end of the service they have to audacity to tell me that never time they will give me a discount. I do not want a discount, I will pay full price. Just do that damn BlowDry!

Went to the beauty salon today (Al Barsha) and my lashes with Liza. Very poor service, I showed her the photo of something but she made my lashes like african style which i didnt ask. Asked her to correct and she corrected it but it was not what I wanted (better than the african lashes tho).In the end I had to pay an exorbitant amount (420 dirham) for something i didnt want

Great salon! I only do gel polish here, I’ve tried so many salons in Dubai but none last like the gel I do at Monroe, when I go back to the salon after a month they still are in great condition. Wonderful staff, all so friendly and smiley.The Only comment I have is I never find the same color for gelish manicure and normal polish pedicure. I hope they can start getting a wider variety.

Terrible.I went for a protein treatment which left my hair burnt, dry and with tons of fly away hairs, which is irreversible.Ive had to go to another salon to try to fix the mess they created.The hair dresser who did my hair had no experience with the product and it was her first time experimenting...on my hair.Absolutely will never go back to the salon, neither would I recommend it to anyone.Total disappointment.

Terrible salon! The staff is extremely rude. I just walked in to ask about the price for a Brazilian Blowout and the secretary looked over to her boss standing behind me, whom I could see in the mirror reflection, who was gesturing her to give me a high price. I told her how rude that is and that I can see her, then I stormed out.The only reason I went there is because theyve done good offers on Brazilian Blowout. I went to a salon next door that is charging me twice as much but is beautiful, clean, with friendly polite and professional staff, unlike that pigsty.Monroe & Me is dirty and messy. Bad location also, good luck finding this place. Or maybe youll spot it because the staff is standing or sitting on the floor outside the salon smoking all day.Just trust me on this, never go there, its not worth whatever money youre going to save.

My friend and I went to get a protein treatment that was on promotion for my hair. It was a 599 promotion. The pakistani lady who did my friends “short hair” said she’ll charge her 700 because she had thick hair. We disagreed because we felt they were trying to scam us. After we tried to leave they called us in and agreed to do the promotion that they have posted on insta???. We asked them if it would be more natural to use the blow dry instead of straightner and they both AGREED. After that the pakistani lady was super rude to my friend and pulled her hair while washing and applying the product. We sat there after the treatment was in our hair “ both the technicians left. My scalp started burning . I was trying to call the technician and she said that was normal. My friend and i had our first shower the next day. What a waste of 3 hours, our hair was still frizzy!!!!!!! I contacted the owner and told her about my issue and what had happened, she said the TWO TECHNICIANS SAID THAT WE REFUSED TO DO STRAIGHTNER AND WERE TRYING TO CONVINCE US NOT TO USE BLOWDRY BECAUSE IT WILL NOT WORK!!!!!!! Which never NEVER NEVER HAPPENED. I told the owner if they told us WHY WOULD WE WASTE OUR MONEY AND TIME IF WE HAVE BEEN TOLD IT WOULDNT WORK?????? She asked to come back to REDO IT. I haven’t got the chance and a week later MY SCALP STARTED TO PEAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I sent the photos to the owner she said it was NORMAL. “ how would we know if you had allergy” she said. First of all not even a patch test has been made. I asked her for my refund because not only i didnt get results at all but also my scalp is pealing??? And she refused to refund me. She told me that she knows that i was the one who refused to do it correctly and she told me to BE RESPONSIBLE OF MY MISTAKES!!!!!!! one of the worst experiences ever! So rude technicians “ not all tbh”. What a unprofessional treatment we have received. 0/10 NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALLLLLLLLL

Terrible place, please dont waste your money there. The salon is so DIRTY, the tools are not clean, the seat was full of cut nails where I was supposed to sit. They spent 4 hours doing gellish which I usually do in 2 hours max. The owner/manager is extremely impolite, shouting at clients! I cant express enough how bad of an experience it was. Im taking the time to write this review so that no one else has to fall for the same trap. NEVER GO THERE!

Most horrible experience ever. I went to do my lash lifting and once done (after 2 hours) the result was zero! as if i did nothing, either the product used is horrible or the technician. No respect to the customer, their wasted time and the manager/owner refused to give me any compensation for that. The manager was very very very rude and has no sense of customer service at all. Most horrible experience I have ever had. No respect. When i called next day expressing my feelings and how upset i am asking for compensation she literally said “if you are not happy don’t come to our saloon again” and closed the line! Very bad really no customer service and no quality work.

My sister and I came in for lash lifting, each with a different technician, wasted two hours and came out with ZERO LIFTED LASHES. ZERO. Walked out exactly as we came in. I asked for a compensation, nothing was given. The Russian manager is extremely rude all she did was say “I am not a lawyer I don’t get charged by the hour”. Next day I called her asking for a retouch or a redo since I’m traveling the next day, she repeated her rude statements and closed the line on my face. Never recommending this place to anyone. You lost two loyal costumers. I was supposed to go on holiday with freshly lifted lashes, wasted the time I had on absolutely NOTHING.

Looking at the posts on instagram is why I wanted to try the salon to get nail extensions and a pedicure.1. Given the current situation and following guidelines, this place does not follow any such protocol. The table I was asked to be seated was dirty and it was not sanitized. Upon seeing the nail dust on the table from a previous customer, I had to ask for the table to be sanitized and the technician comments saying I have already cleaned it. additionally, customers without appointment were allowed in and to top it off, no social distance rule was followed and new customers are asked to wait (salon is very crowded with people standing so close).2. The lady at the reception shouts out to the technician each time new customer walks in, which is very annoying and unprofessional.3. I did acrylic extensions, the technician filed my nails to a point I was in pain and got a cut!4. I had to do my eyebrows and again, looking at their posts on instagram (they do eyebrow lamination and lash lift), I expected to have no issues when it came to threading. Much to my horror, the technician smelled of cigarette smoke. I asked her to wash her hands and sanitize (which is what ticked her off) - she did my threading and did not bother to ask me if I was ok with the shape, did not bother cleaning the plucked out hair from my face nor asked if I would like rose water to calm the skin.The price you pay for the services IS NOT WORTH IT!The service is a sheer disappointment - I do not recommend this place to anyone!

I went with my mother and mother in law and all three manicures where absolutely terrible, I would not recommend going here at all and it’s not worth the cost. Extremely mediocre, rude and untrained staff. Although they did offer to fix the nails that are done badly they don’t have the ability to preform a good manicure so it’s not worth my time.

The worst salon I have ever been to. The nail technician was very rude and impolite. The place was very dirty and unhygienic. During this pandemic salons should be constantly cleaned and sanitized! Do not go their it’s literally the worst.I went their for the nail art but it is not anything special. You could go to a better place that is cleaner.

I had booked an appointment for a gelish mani and pedi however it was not with the regular lady that I usually do it with.As soon as I sat down and told her that I only wanted to remove my current gel polish and reapply ONLY gel polish and not do acrylics she already seemed bothered by that. I didnt pay any attention to it.She started to remove my polish with the electric filing machine and she filed too deep on my nail bed and it started hurting me so I asked her if she can do the regular method of filing the polish down and using acetone and foil. She said no and that she doesnt work with acetone (what??? you are a nail technician how do you not work with acetone?) again, I didnt pay attention to it and asked if I can be seated with someone who does work with acetone.She was rude and had an attitude with me and called over the receptionist. The receptionist then seated me with another russian lady who could barely speak or understand english because when I asked her to remove the polish using the filing and foil method she reached for the electric filing machine and I pulled my hands away.Another russian lady who could speak english came over with an attitude and all ladies then proceeded to talk in russian and it was obvious they were talking about me which is very rude and unprofessional.This is when I began to get angry with them and again for the 100th time I asked the russian lady that could speak english that i wanted my polish to be removed with filing and foil. Not a hard task, right? WRONG. She spoke to me in such a rude manner and said that they have to use the electric filing machine first. (no you dont. I have been using gel polishes for over a decade and almost every salon that I have been to uses the file ad foil method. Even if other salons use the electric filing machine and you asked them to change to the file and foil method they do it without giving you a hard time)I have never been talked to this way, specially in Dubai, SPECIALLY from a staff member. Not to mention the salon is very dirty. There are flies everywhere. None of the surfaces are wiped clean and no one seems to care that theres a pandemic. There is no social distancing (they even seat customers on the chairs that they have placed the do not sit stickers on). None of the staff wear the face shield, none of them have matching uniform and evens the ones that are wearing uniform are all dirty with food or sweat stains. They do not sanitize the tools and even the sinks they use for pedicures they only place a plastic over the sink before filling it with water so they dont have to do any extra cleaning.The owner and all the russian staff are so rude and unprofessional. They are always shouting (at each other, at customers.. it doesnt make a difference for them). They always try to force you to get extra treatments done even after declining they still try to push it down your throat and it makes you feel uncomfortable. I have caught them charging me higher than usual for no reason. They are NOT professional at all. I still cant believe municipality hasnt shut the place down.I used to go to this salon because honestly the quality of their gel polishes are really good and they last for a very long time however its not worth it to go here purely based off of how rude and unprofessional everyone is. Never going back again. Such a disappointing experience.

Safe to say this is the worst salon experience Ive had in Dubai, I got basic pink tip nails and pink gel on my toes. I had previously informed the lady of exactly what I wanted and was told 300AED plus 50AED for design. Went in, didnt find the staff or general vibe very nice at all. They attempted to stick full plastic nails on my fingers until I declined. Not once was I offered any type of beverage during my 3 hour nail service and when I asked for a coffee they only had water in plastic cups available. Im surprised it took such a long time considering i sat uncomfortably like a pretzel, with one lady doing my hands and another in an awkward position for me doing my toes at the same time. To my astonishment I then got to the till and was told the bill was 790AED (£158 😮). I said youre joking right and the lady reeled me off lots of additional charges that were not listed in the price she gave me nor the menu. She charged me £20 quid extra for gel polish then another £20 extra because I wanted tip and not full colour and another £20 for a line, honestly its the most disgusting thing Ive ever heard. Daylight robbery 🤬

One of the worst experiences ever!!!!They claim to offer Brazilian blow out and protein treatments that straighten the hair for up to 6 months. Totally fake!!!However, you can only tell after 3 days when you wash your hair that your money has gone down the drain. We contacted the salon saying that there was no result they replied back saying we could come back for a redo. On the day of the appointment they asked for extra money through Instagram. Then they were extremely rude and unprofessional when I rejected to. We didnt go for the refix and contacted customer rights.It was so tiring trying to get our money. Customer rights basically did nothing to help us which was very strange and overwhelming. We had evidence from instagram and pictures. We also had proof of them not wearing their masks during the pandemic which made us contact the municipality. They were penalized and we miraculously we got our money back.But it was such a PAIN!BE CAREFUL!!!

I dont recommend. Long lasting gel lasted less than one week. The personal are not friendly and not patience to wait for the UV light to end the drying out.

Worst experience ive had at a salon, the workers were very rude and unfriendly, the place smelt of a dirty toilet, the tools werent sanitized properly. The nail tech I had was getting frustrated with me simply because i was stating what i wanted and it was different to what she was doing. To everyone thinking of going there..dont. Go spend your money elsewhere.

I visited this salon twice. First time had a good experience, second time not so much.I came for my appointment for gelish mani n regular pedi. The technician started my pedi 15 mins late and the technician for mani was not ready after 30mins of me waiting. I called the receptionist to tell her that i will not do the mani as i have other things to do. Also i have taken an extra appointment the following day to try to do the mani. Unfortunately some work came up so i called to tell the salon that i will not be available for the appointment. The lady on the line literally told me off for canceling my appointment!!!!! Ridiculous!!!! She sais that she is the owner so i informed her about how i had to take an extra appointment to do what was expected to be done on prev day.The color selection and the nail art is really good but as per customer care and punctuality do not expect much.

Well i decided to try this place out after checking all the fab photos on instagram, so i booked an appointment to do my nail extensions there with one of their nail technicians. First of all, the nail technician spoke not a single word of english, we communicated through sign language almost which i found very odd and uncomfortable. Second of all , she was very rough and filed my skin away and everytime i removed my hand she looked at me as if I was insulting her! It was a very painful process considering ive been doing nail extensions for the last 6 years and never experienced anything like this.I wouldn’t say the place is very spotless and hygenic, as it wasn’t. Shelves where they kept nail tools on were very dusty and unorganized. Bottom line, would never visit again!

The most unprofessional and rude staff.The manager is very rude... She shouts at the clients... I do not recommend this salon... No value for money... They are cheating people openly.... I wish I had checked the Google reviews before booking an appointment... I paid them for nothing in return...they are not professionals... I will rate monroe&me as zero.... Even worst.....

The worst experience ever, I booked an appointment and they forgot to mention that they changed their location so i had to reach there to know that there is no salon! I went to do my lashes but went out with no effect at all!! Then i was complaining the manager was very rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional! I literally wasted 4 hours of my time and money!

The boss is so rude ! She screams and shouts in public and is also rude to the customers she stands outside smoking all day and when u walk in she starts being arrogant and looking at you from up to down and commenting , she looked at my wedding ring and said ohhhh u married a rich man , and to imagine this is the first conversation I had with this lady who I never met , how inappropriate ! I went to do my nails with a technician called Masha ( she was good) although I had to sit through flies and the boss had a business meeting in the lounge area and fought with the man in the meeting , she screamed so loud it was so horrible to sit through ! I am sure they overcharged me, but I left because I just wanted to get out of there . The nail lady did a good job and I was so hesitant to go back , I called a few weeks later to do a refil but only with masha , the boss answered the phone and told me masha is fully booked so I said it’s fine thank you , she then started arguing with me to do my nails with someone else I said I don’t want to , then she said but you will go somewhere else right? So just do them here , she said it so arrogantly ! Because of her disgusting behavior I would never ever go back and don’t recccomend anyone to go to such a dirty place with flies everywhere and also it was clear that they didn’t sterilize their tools

Not a great experience. The manager was rude and has no sense of customer service. I asked about a few services and was about to get my hair cut, however she felt like she needed to put me on the spot several times when I asked questions and belittled my opinion. Compete miss in customer service. I just got up and left. So sad that they have this attitude.

Their nails work is very good but the salon is not clean, crowded, and a lot of small black flies always around , the boss is rude, argues with customers with no respect, the receptionist is kind though

Disappointing when your nail chips literally 3 days after and not even one nail pretty much the majority and on both hands yet they’ll gladly ask you to come to wait another hour to fix the polish it took almost 2 hours n 30 mins to do in the first place.

I came here after seeing their photos on instagram, I took an appointment and when I reached I was kept waiting for about 10 mins till the technician sat down to me. So I go on and tell her what I want done hence the appointment I made... She told me its too late and she cant do that design and she can only do something simple. I said ok that’s fine. Then she opens the drawer and sprays the tools with alcohol and starts using them. They do not sterilize their tools and pack them. Then the receptionist came to me and asked me to pay during my service because she is going home and needs to close the till. When I asked how much she looked at the technician and just said 350 dhs.... They have no price list or inform you before they start. Really disappointing to be honest. The reality is dont always believe what you see on instagram. Not going again..

I have been to a lot of salon in Dubai. This one has to be one of the worst experiences! Thought I’d try this salon since all the ads on Instagram kept popping up and they had good ads on their page. The ad mentioned “250 Dhs for the ombré. FALSE ADVERTISING, Guys. I ended up paying 410 Dhs almost double the price! They rip you off like anything adding stuffs and asking to pay at last after they are done. Not even mentioning that they would charge for all that. And No customer service at all. The staff there weren’t very friendly either. And the nails were nothing compared to what I’d get for 150 Dhs. Never again!

I’ve been using them for the past 4 years . I’m not even gonna lie they have the best service ever. Their technician’s are super friendly and patient and the end result is perfect . Do not hesitate to patronize them I give you my word .

I have been doing my acrylic nails more than 3 years with other salons , i tried this salon this time cause i saw there offer on instgram , worst experience ever , color shipped out after 2 days even its gelish color , and when i sent them mu feedback they asked me to go and reapply the color for free , i did went there and again after 2 days the color came out from my nails, worst experience ever.

Very cool place to do hair ,,,i just did full color and they offer me free blowdry and hair mask ,,, happy

I got my gelish manicure on the 28th of May which was supposed to last for 2 weeks but literally lasted for 2 days.

First and last time I visit this salon .Please provide to guest a price list . They charged 120 aed for just to remove my gelish . Very expensive.

Terrible !! Terrible !! Terrible!Went for eyelash extensionsThank God, after I had one eye augmented, I went to the toilet and was able to see this horror! The eyelashes were glued on top of several of my eyelashes, that is, not on every eyelash, but the bunch was glued to several of my own at once and all the others according to the same pattern.After that, the “master” removed all this for me with a remover that burned my eyes and which they could not wash off from my eyelashes. I went home with eyelashes in dried white remover and red eyes. Im very sorry for my precious wasted time.I do not recommend this place to anyone!!!
