It has been a while I wanted to write a review about Sophie from Cutting Edge in Marina Mall.She has been cutting and styling my hair for the last 3 years. I am not usually one that repeats salon as I am a very busy person and travel often to different countries so got accustomed to adapt to what there is available when is available; however ever since I went with Sophie for the first time 3 years ago, I have made the point to leave my hair to her.The reason what I chose Sophie is for the great care she puts into my hair. She treats it with ultimate respect so no pain or harm is done to my scalp.She ensures also my hair is throughout my rinse (I had the issue usually of hairdressers not rinsing properly at the back of my neck, and that can become itching the day after).My hair is also grey, and she respects that I love it as it is, she has never tried to upsell me a hair color, on the opposite she gives me compliments as opposed to faces of disgust (yep, I had that before!)But moreover, she treats disrespectful customers like a pro. I have unfortunately witness how she got verbally abused by a customer and she remained calm at all time. Bless the patience! Customer service can be very difficult these days with the irrational demands .Finally, I can tell she enjoyed what she’s doing, often I catch her humming a song.. I find it very cute and a sign of contentment.So 5 stars for Sophie 🌟 , I’ll continue coming to her when in town! 😊

Im sorry but i did the 600aed facial and went(IBN Mall Branch) with clear face after less than a week pimples start showing for the first time of my life with no stop and when i google the product that they use its a 70aed product to 100aed and when i contact them on WhatsApp seen with no replay worst salon ever and i did more than a service it dose not worth the price i will never recommend any one

She was very quick and done with full of care. Then she advised me to do curls in Styling and believe it came very well.I am highly appreciated all the efforts of the staffs and really recommend everyone to go and try.Thankyou

I had a full body massage here and it was really greatMy therapist Linda was very talented and has great skillsI had a headache before and once massage finished I was feeling so good 😊Nevertheless I did not liked the room, it was so tight and not clean (it’s the same room used for hair removal as well)5 stars for the therapist2 stars for the massage room

I went in high hopes of finding a hairdresser in dubai that would manage to do highlights that are not yellow after the toner washes out. It was yet again an absolute disaster.The lady who did them, took 7 minutes in the middle of my highlights, only half head done, to take another client for some hair removal. Needless to say that it will result in a very uneven colour. Halfhead done 10.53.. Finished highlights on the front and top at 11.28. Anyone can tell that that is too slow to get an even colour. She washed the bottom half earlier, at 11.35, only with freezing water not shampoo, then waited for the top. Top was washed at 11.53. So bottom colour was in twice as long as the top.Secondly the second mix was intense purple, even more than the first batch, neither were blueish like it should be for the cold tone I requested, at this point I had some real fears.. And low and behold. I have purple highlights mixed with yellow top. Showing me the toner chart, it became clear they dont even have proper Blond. The one I had to settle with was nothing to do with a cool Blond. All warm tones. Then in order to try and save it, she chucked mega amount of peroxide into the toner, it burned. Ive never had a toner burn before.This salon is definitely only for dark haired people.My hair is RUINED. absolutely ruined. I have yellow hair with purple.If you do not know how to treat Blond hair clearly state so!! Dont just be greedy and want the money and ruin peoples hair! Even an amateur could tell 3 things :1 highlights are time relevant, you dont take other clients in the middle of doing them! Its also disrespectful and dismissive.2 intense purple into Blond will result in purple hair. No toner can fix it, and toners wash out in 2-3weeks and shows the true nature of the work done.3 dont wash the entire hair with the toner when the roots are piss yellow and the rest purple!I now can not put my extensions in because I have purple/blue at the bottom and piss yellow on top hair.. I walk around in a hat till in a couple of weeks I can tra and salvage this somehow.Clearly they need a few things in this salon.. First one being training and second being wider range of products and colours. But even good training wont do anything if there is more interest in the gossip with colleagues than happy customers. Unprofessional staff, a bit dirty and gritty (which wouldnt bother me if the work was good), and no selection in colours.Ladies, stay away unless you just want a wash and blow dry.

Linda did my aromatherapy foot mesage and she was excellent!! With healing hands and the best advice, she perfected my visit to Cutting Edge Marina.

Horrible service in ibn battuta branch. They destroyed my eyebrows, and put wax in my hair. When i asked to talk to the manager she said that is not a big deal that they destroyed the shape of my brows.

Excellent salon! The space can accommodate more people than normal salon. Hygiene is good. Thanks Apple for my New Year ready mani-pedi. Shes fast and efficient with her work. Definitely will come back soon! ❤️

Just because we were not going out for more than essentials like groceries but it doesn’t mean that we are not being seen. So I thought it’s time to do a hair cut , more over I thought to do a shoulder massage and manicure… ..I went to this salon @cuttingedgeladiesuae in Dubai Marina. I tried this after a lot of recommendations and really it was a best decision ever. The professionals did a very satisfying job and I am really very impressed with their services…With proper sanitizing of each and every equipment they used. Read some really great reviews about the salon here and decided to give it a try. I must say either the reviews are paid or none of these reviewing ladies have been to a good salon in Dubai. When you decide to visit a salon in Dubai Marina, especially with such high prices, you expect a lot more than this salon offered; it was not up to the standard at all. I have seen salons in Bur Dubai in better conditions than this salon was which was really shocking. The chairs were torn, and the rooms were very unhygienic. The interior was as dull and uninteresting as it could get. There were zero relaxing vibes and the staff could not speak in English. The short-haired girl, who was very chatty and was interviewing me throughout doing my pedicure, was consistently commenting on how my nails were too dirty which was extremely rude, unethical and unprofessional of her. On top of that, my nail started bleeding because of her cutting too deep. Ladies who did waxing, hairstyling, and the receptionist were good. They are the only reason I am giving 2 stars. Otherwise, the mediocre services and vibes of this overpriced salon are a big no for me to visit here again.

Just got my manicure at this place. The preparation was totally fine but the gel coverage in the end left much to be desired… Very messy! therefore only 3 out of 5.

I got the balayage packet and also the french gel manicure. This place and its staff are simply amazing! My hairdresser was Sofie and she also threaded my eyebrows. I got my desired dreamhair result and absolutely adore it, she is very talented , gentle and kind. It was also my PAINFREE threading experience! So ask for Sofie 😊, she will surely do an amazing job. I loved coming here! My sister shes a regular client and she recommended me coming here for a facial and gel nails. She always does it from this girl who works there named Afshan. When she did my facial she left my skin so soft and smooth! It was really good! Also she did my gel nails and i was scared that she’d hurt me or something but she did it so well with so much care! She’s got a very good and gentle hand and puts alot of hardwork and tries her best to make it perfect! Loved the experience! If next time anyone comes do get you facials and nails done from Afshan, my sister says she does bikini waxing very nicely and she always makes sure the client feels no pain, so i will definitely try that next time as im very picky when it comes to bikini waxing! Afshan was very professional, first time at this salon, received a Brazilian, and she did a wonderful job. Quick, pain free, and clean job! Would recommend, and will be back to use her services.

One star is for the useful pick up and drop off service. The service on the other hand wasn’t good. I had an appointment and still waited 45 min till they started. During the process it hurt really bad and even started bleeding. Putting sanitizer immediately right on the wound is a horrible pain I wouldn’t wish my worst enemy. The lady doing my nails barely understood me in English! I had do tell her 3 times how I liked the shape and still didn’t got it fully right. All in all one nail broke off ON THE SAME DAY just a few hours later than the appointment. Sorry but this isn’t the quality I expect when I pay so much to get my nails done…

I had a facial and eyebrow shaping with Afshan, who is amazing. The Lady on reception needs more customer service training, she called a lady Hiba to tell me which facial will suit my skin. Hiba didnt have a clue and I was about to run out when Afhsan came out and gave me a great service. Honestly if it wasnt for Afshan I wouldve left the salon without having treatment. Another feedback is the ladies outside were arguing which I could hear when I was having a relaxing facial inside. Customer service definitely needs to improve. Treatment with Afshan rescued my experience and I will definitely go again to see her.

Not professional at all! The salon is very dirty and disgusting...I cant believe this salon in in Dubai Marina!My manicure came out after 2days...and Lady who did my Pedicure was very bad. She doesn’t care even Im shouting in pain!She told me, its not bleeding..so its okay. Seriously very bad service.Ill never go again.Hopefully service will improve in the future or hope other nicer salon will take over.

I tried this salon before and found the service was okay but the prices are what made it worth going. 50% off from 12pm till 4pm every week day.Today I have just been and had one of the BEST pedicures Ive ever had!!!!! The lady was called Zeniada and she was amazing. She spent around 15 minutes shaving and exfoliating my feet, the part most of us go to get a pedicure for. She did a fantastic job, they felt so smooth after. She had very good knowledge of nail shape and care. I would really recommend going to get a pedicure from Zeniada.

This is my third time having my haircut with Sophie. I did like my two previous experiences that is why I came back for my third haircut. I clearly showed a picture of my last haircut to her for reference but for some reason my hair was cut too short. I came back to the salon to ask for their help on how to fix it. My negative review is that the staff and even the Salon Manager, Gezal, does not know how to empathize and make feel better. I was clearly upset and was practically begging to have my hair fixed but I did not feel comforted by them at all. I felt blamed the whole time especially with the Salon Manager. I know Sophie is great but this time I was not happy with my hair cut. I was not even given any option to try to have my hair fixed. I felt blamed instead. The team should be trained on how to resolve concerns in professional manner.

THE WORSE EXPERIENCE!!!!!!!! NEVER GO THERE IF YOU LOVE YOURSELF! I am not and I dont want to be racist but they have changed the staff and this place is now full of indian ladies who doesnt have a clue what they are doing. I cannot believe they can hire such UNPROFESSIONAL staff in the middle of Dubai. THIS IS CRAZY! Me and my mum did a facial and honest to god we walked out traumatized. They were banging the doors going in and out all the time. Outside the rest of the staff was shouting and laughing. They did not switch off the light and it was super bright during the facial. Not to mention the way they did the facial, 2 days later our eyes were watering and were red because some of the liquids were going in due to extremely unprofessional way she was applying the creams. My nose was full of it as well. I was afraid she was using unclean materials. The studio is generally dirty. The trash at the back where the facial is happening was full and open, it looked disgusting. The whole experience was DISGUSTING!!! I have been to India twice and I lived there for extended period of time but this was another level. I regret of taking my poor mummy there. :(1 Star is a lot!!!!! I wouldnt give them any star at all! Just close down this studio immediately or change the management.

I love coloring my hair but after all the bleaching and permanent hair dyes my hair couldn’t handle anything anymore. Then I visited Cutting Edge hair salon exactly a month ago and they colored my hair using ammonia free products plus I’ve done several hair treatments with them. Honestly the best experience I’ve ever had! I’ve been to many salons (not just in the UAE) and I always get fooled and the stylists always damage my hair simply because they want to make money out of me and get good reviews but the hair stylists at Cutting Edge salon were very honest with me and they did everything they could to fix my hair and a whole month later and my color is so beautiful and shiny and my hair never felt any better! Thanks to Sonia from the Marina Plaza branch!

Went for Facial today at Marina Mall branch. Two of us went together so since they seem to have only one good technician, they assigned me someone who had no clue on how to do facial. It was very bad. She did not use gloves . I had to ask her to stop in between and insist on getting another technician. I complained to the In-charge but she did not seem to be professional enough to underhand and appreciate customers feedback.Waste of time and money.Giving one star as no provision to give Negative score

I had to comeback to fix my nails after few hours done my nails got peeled off, so they offer me to comeback to fix it for free anyway I wasn’t have any problem if I have to pay for it but the only matter is the lady who is fixing my nails she is so rude (probably because I came there to fix my nail for free) I’m regular customers to cutting edge but now I will never ever comeback again to get a rude service and my only suggestion is if she cannot bear with a customer better quit the job and stay home. There are plenty of place willing to give a good customer service! Do not waste your money to a rude service!

They have really good packages which are value for money. Sophie was wonderful and patient with me.

The nails are always done to a high standard. However, the professionalism is not good. The reception lady (tall, large woman) offen speaks in her language to the other staff about the customers - it’s not professional. It’s happened on a few visits. Yesterday, the lady came into the back room where the nails are done and loudly laughed and joked in their language with the other staff and they were all looking at me. It’s really unprofessional and makes me feel uncomfortable there.

Worst salon experience I have ever had in my life. The lady who took care of me was very nice and kind and polite but the rest of the ladies were shouting, screaming, music was so loud, I asked them many times to turn it down, and I also heard one lady screaming because one of them burned her handd while doing her nails. Unprofessional staff (except for the Indian lady who took good care of me), terrible experience, I didnt feel comfortable at all and customer service was TERRIBLE. Will never ever come back there. Not recommended at all.

First time have visited salon for highlights and Sofie did exactly what I wanted she was careful all the way to make sure my hair are getting tone I wanted. Staff overall are very friendly will come definitely again

The worst hair cutting experience ever in my life. I will give minus if I can.Zero professional training and communication.My left and right side are even not symmetric. She doesn’t listen to me when I told her hairstyle I want she just simply ignored and started to cut like she already knew.I never met so unprofessional, her nails are so long she pouch my ear couple times and the way she brush my hair was reckless .I was so upset I told her few times to fix my hair and she did not want to listen ,instead of fixing she tried to convinced me everything was fine .I ended up walk out with uneven hair .I am so upset and angry now I don’t know how to fix my hair because so awful and so short.And yes , I don’t even know her name . Apparently, they did care about their customer and don’t even expect return business.

Fadwa the lady who does the hair is Amazing 👏. She has excellent skills. I have really long hair but she didnt make a fuss like most hair stylists do. Can not praise her enough. She gave me an amazing blow-dry. I am a very fussy when it comes to my hair but I can trust fawda with my hair.

One of the worest salon I have ever been. Stuff who are working there was nice and friendly, but problem is lady who is manager there , completely unprofessional and she was shouting on me. I had voucher from cobone where was included hair coloring and blow dry. So my roots was different color than rest of the hair, and manager told me that I need to pay again for roots coloring because color didn’t catch good my hair , but this is not my mistake I came for full hair coloring and I expecting than to have same color. Than she started to fight with me that I have to pay extra so that they can fix that problem because they need to use extra color !!! Terrible experience ever .... I said I won’t pay anything extra ... than she agree somehow that they will do again hair coloring so I can have same color not roots blonde and rest dark 😂 But in the end she said to stuff there to not do for me blow dry, only quick dry without any reason even I had on cobone with blow dry . Definitely I will never go again there !!!!They also must do some cleaning in salon because it was very dirty and they didn’t sanitaze chairs at all !!!

The place looks clean and nice. The girls who did my nails were sweet and fast. The salon accommodated my urgent request and gave me the canceled slot. Highly recommended and I will surely use them again! 😍

I would advise anyone thinking to have their hair done at this salon to avoid!! Avoid avoid avoid! I really have never had a worse experience in my life and Ive been to many hair salons around the world. But this is by far the worse experience I never imagined Id have... especially considering how much time I put into trying to explain to the hair stylists exactly what I didnt want them to do...Firstly, I came here to have a simple mani-pedi. The ladies that did my nails did a nice job, although one of the girls cut my finger in the process, i didnt think to complain. Im still happy with the mani-pedi. However when it came to my hair, I also asked for something very simple. All I wanted was a subtle balayage.... and i specifically asked them several times not to add a lot of bleach to my hair. However they did everything i asked them repeatedly not to do! I also asked several times if they knew what a balayage was... which they just ignorantly insisted they did. One of the ladies explained a technique she uses for balayage, but she wasnt interested in doing it because she said it takes a lot of time so she passed the job onto another lady who insisted she knew how to do balayage well. However, all this lady did was apply bleach throughout all of my hair, damaging all of it. Even the areas of my hair I specifically asked her not to apply any bleach or color to she did anyways!! It took me about 3 or more years to re-grow my hair out so its healthy, and i specifically asked her and the other ladies not to add any bleach to it and now its completely damaged!!Not only did they just basically submerse all of my hair in bleach, I was left with strange leopard spots throughout my hair and it is also now a terrible orangey color...The women that work here are not trained for this job.. I asked where they get their cosmetology license, and how long theyre trained before they start applying chemicals to peoples hair, and they dont even operate with a proper license!! They also said their training is only few days long, and most of the stuff they learn when it comes to balayage and highlighting- they learn from Google!!This salon shouldnt even be in business considering they carelessly let these women work--- who can barely speak or understand the customers, and who arent properly trained.Im still really upset about going here because after the damage they did they didnt care....they just acted like the problem will go away after I leave...they didnt care they completely ruined someones hair that took years to grow out! And now I am looking for a salon that can fix the damage that this terrible place did. Which is taking extra time out of my days and which will also be expensive to fix...So again, I would just advise anyone thinking to come here to avoid this salon!

Ok for the price payed with Groupon but for cutting my hair she said she could only cut it straight no “styling” which is not mentioned in Groupon.Also the place really needs to be refurbished, it is in a bad shape.Some of the staff is friendly but some is not and just shouts mono words instructions at you.

I went there last week to get my roots dyed, I have really dark hair and was going for an ash blonde color. The hairdresser used hair dye that didnt have bleach in it so she couldnt get it on the first try. She then dyed my hair again while my hair was still wet, didnt get the color again. When she applied the hair dye the second time my scalp was literally BURNING and the pain was so unbearable. I called back a week later because my entire scalp has now scabbed up and is shedding and they still continue to argue with me saying its my fault that my scalp reacted that way. Ive been dying my hair blonde for 9 years now and never had my scalp react this way to anything! Completely dissatisfied.

This place is absolutely VILE stay away girls. Room was just rotten dirty filthy walls, filthy equipment the list goes on. Girl was literally using a sponge and a basin at one point for my facial. Just disgusting and I would avoid at all costs. Not professional in any way. No proper head rests or anything it’s just so grim avoid at all costs

I was about to use a groupon voucher, but when I arrived at the salon they told me that I will have to pay AED 200 extra above the AED 199 full color voucher since my hair is longer than 16”! Their prices are ridiculous the voucher doesn’t do anything!

The staff are super friendly and efficient… Always get great mani pedi done.. Other services like massage and waxing are great too.. Would definitely recommend… and the prices are great.

One of the worst hair experiences of my life. First of all the salon is super dirty, and things are broken all over the place.Secondly, the hair dresser that I had had no idea how to use clip in hair extensions, and how to curl hair. In addition to all of that, she burned my hair, and hair burning is not a nice smell. Shocking!

Cutting edge Marina branch is my favorite place it’s a clean comfy and The staff are well experienced Sweet and very welcoming I always do my nails and I’m always happy with the results I also tried a haircut and it was great facial as well which was very nice I highly recommend it

The ladies there working are kind and professional but there is an extremely rude and unprofessional receptionist who calls herself a manager .She had upset many people including me a few times and has knowingly made mistakes in calculating packages. She shouts at the top of her voice and has no courtesy how to behave with customers!!!Extremely unprofessional and rude behaviour of hers would deter you from even calling them.
