If you’re looking for good customer service this is not the place to go. Don’t expect to be asked if you would like something to drink or anything like that. Also expect the price to be extremely high; a scam price- if they feel like charging you it. The hair was nice but not worth the price or time.

Overpriced for what it is, the place itself is cute but when I went the first time the booking was all wrong due to their online booking system but luckily the owner was there and something was able to be resolved. Fast forward to when I’m due in for my next trim, it took over 5 hours talking to whoever is on the other side of their WhatsApp and they still couldn’t understand what I wanted which was a simple wash and cut. So much for a fresh trim for my big 30

I had a curly cut with hairstylist Irene. I’ve done several curly cuts in other salons before, and though my experience was positive, there was always something missing. Today, Irene blew me out of the water with her amazing skills!My issue with previous cuts was lack of volume and face framing curls. Irene took my concerns seriously, listened closely, and achieved the best cut I’ve ever had. My hair is super bouncy, voluminous yet defined. The best thing is that Irene tailored the cut to my face and hair type, giving her own input on the best fitting cut.The cherry on top, Irene is a very sweet conversationalist. The other staff in the salon (including Anastasia) were nice as well.I’d definitely be back inshallah!

Life changing experience! I absolutely loved the service and the technique they used at Twist. I have been previously to two hair salons specialised in curly hair I did not feel much difference and it did not really help me to understand or maintain it. Irene who styled and cut my hair showed me step by step how to get my curls back. I thought I may step out of the salon with some waves given years of treatments colour and blow drying it straight and to my surprise my curls popped back! Love it and coming back.

I’ve had them cut my hair before and I absolutely loved their work so I decided to go and get some highlights this time and I love how it turned out!Edit: Unfortunately my hair turned out to be too yellow. I had taken reference pictures detailing how I wanted them to be like a chestnut brown against my black hair but I basically paid 2K for yellow hair. Very disappointed since my friends who got their hair done for 500 had better highlights than me.I had got this done for my wedding and after the first wash (I used colour safe hair wash that I purchased from them!) it turned completely yellow and I had to go get it toned the morning of my nikaah.

Sara was incredibly professional and gave me so much definition and volume while making sure that I understood each step of the hair wash process that I could easily replicate at home with the products I have on hand (and that work for my type (3A curls)). I had an amazing experience at Twist recently. I am usually a nervous ball of energy when going to a curly hair dresser as I am so very specific about what I want.I had my appointment with an amazing senior curly specialist called Vana! Vana is so lovely and had such a calming energy. An amazing listener Vana, put me at ease straight away, listened to me, took the time to discuss what I wanted and what her thoughts were and I ended up with the best curly haircut I have ever had! and the styling was done so beautifully but at the same time effortlessly so I could replicate it myself. She talked me through how to look after my curls and gave me some tips and tricks to keep the curly hair routine simpler and effective. The haircut was amazing, exactly what I was looking for, my curls were well defined and glossy and the styling effect has lasted even after 3 days which is unheard of for my hair.I absolutely loved meeting Vana, she is simply superb, a lovely kind human being and an excellent curly hairdresser! I couldnt ask for more. I cant wait to see Vana again. I recommend Vana and Twist salon 100%. They really look after you and the curls. :)

She deeply cleaned my hair and didnt just do a quick wash to get the job over with - She checked if there was buildup and did a detox to give my hair its health back.I love that she cared for its health just as much as how it looks.She has A LOT of knowledge which she so kindly shared with me.My hair is quite difficult, heavy, long and needs time and effort. She gracefully dealt with it, without complaining or taking a break, and managed to style it so beautifully!! Service was amazing. i had Sara as my stylist, she was super sweet, very welcoming, very nice energy. Skill wise her consultation was so thorough and very reassuring, I felt very comfortable and trusted her work, the result was absolutely beautiful exactly what I wanted. I paid for the twist combo, and it was worth every dirham i spent. My hair never felt more alive and more healthy and everyone around me is telling me how amazing it looks. All the staff were so sweet and welcoming. The salon is very clean and hygienic 10/10. the process was not rushed very entertaining and a 10/10 experience. 100% would go again loved it so much.

I always used the products alone at home, and for the first time I went to a salon specializing in curly hair. Angelina helped me know the correct way to use the products. I didn’t walk away happy like I usually do from a salon. I spent 500AED and expected a friendly, professional service for a curly cut and style.However, I felt like I wasn’t really ‘meant to be there’ due to apparently having straight hair at the roots. I don’t mind this, but I had sent pictures of my wavy hair and had been assured that they cater to wavy hair.When greeted, there was no smile/warmth/offer of water/suggestion that you could use a toilet if needed (that’s what I’m used to in other salons). Maybe not a big thing but if you’re used to a western style salon, that’s usually the case.The actual cutting/drying experience was unpleasant really. Initially told she would ‘do her best’ with my hair but that I “wasn’t curly like” and she pointed to a member of staff. She said my hair was in bad condition (that’s fine, I accept that) but no suggestion of how to care for it, like I’d been led to believe other people have had on their appointments.I asked for a small amount cut off, she said something along the lines of that the colour on the ends was bad so she’d need to cut more off. My scalp was burned due to the hairdryer being put too close on multiple occasions. I did flinch away a few times but I wish I’d said something at the time. I notice that someone else mentions this in their review too.She put about 4 products in my hair (I think, in fairness, to make it super curly) but I had already mentioned earlier that I just use one product and scrunch. She didn’t tell me what products she was using, she didn’t ask what I wanted, no conversation.I think the reason I feel so disappointed is I was expecting a curly cut and style and having read other reviews, a sort of conversation/consultation about how best to care for my hair, etc. I feel like I paid 500AED for a chop of my dead ends and a burned scalp.It’s not my manner to be impolite so I smiled through it and said thank you, but I have to be honest and say that I came away feeling very upset and quite ugly, in all honesty.I got home, washed out the products and despite her saying my hair wasn’t curly, I had my usual waves and ringlets. I feel a bit like she never took the time to understand me, my hair or what I really wanted.2 stars because I should have been more vocal about what I wanted, but I thought she was the expert so I left it in what I thought were her capable hands. Maybe I’m overreacting but I came home and cried, so I felt it was necessary to review. Wouldn’t visit again, but good luck to those who do. Perhaps you’ll have better luck.

NEVER AGAIN. If youre looking for a hair-do, this could be the place for you. But if you have curly hair, and want your hair cut, dont come here. It was OVER-PRICED - 500 dirham for hair-do and haircut, and they barely cut any hair. They do your hair before cutting it, and all they do is snip off the pieces that stick out. I was hoping for a nice haircut in a place where theyre specialized in curly hair like mine, but all I got was a hair-do and a couple strands cut off, so now my hair looks the exact same as before, but my wallet is emptier. I dont believe the hairdressers here know how to cut hair. I can only speak for the one who did my hair. Lesson learned.

Impeccable service! Went to get a curly hair cut, Tatiana was really amazing and very meticulous, making sure to understand what I exactly wanted and double checking everything to make sure the shape was perfect. I think its a really good place to go for people who are discovering their curly hair or havent figured out a routine yet, they have a range of products with a really clean composition and they give a little card at the end with advices on how to take care of your curls and which products they used on you which I think is very nice for beginners. The rest of the staff was really nice as well. Its located right in front of Mall of Emirates and has a parking right next to it so easily accessible as well. Going to the hairdresser is a delicate matter, and finding someone who can understand your (curly) hair better than yourself, with such a level of accuracy, professionalism and skills is incredibly special and rare. I took my little sister to twist for the first time and Alexandra completely transformed her hair. Her hair was chaos and was cut so badly and was so dry, but Alexandra completely fixed it and hydrated it and brought back her defined curls. Highly recommend them.

I went there since i have curly hair and have not found any good curly hair salons in dubai, great service, great decorations, tatiana was responsible for my hair and i love my cut and styling, she took her time, gave me a dry cut in the beginning, washed my hair and then styled and diffused it thoroughly. After that she dried it and gave the last touches of cutting. Great experience and vibes.

The stuff were friendly and the ambience was cozy. It was amazing getting haircut by Tatiana. She actively listened to what sort of style I wanted and it was on point, couldn’t be more happier with the end result! Incompetent acustomer serviceCouldn’t get through the phone line or website, number listed is wrong.Once there the hairdresser was trying to upsell and over complicate a trim for a 5 year old. Unwelcoming, not warm or welcoming environment.Just overall such a shame with the service as the idea in itself is much needed for people with curly hair

I’ve tried 2 other curly hair salons in Dubai and have to say this one is the best so far!Tatiana did an incredible job with my hair, I explained i don’t want to go too short but I want to get rid of current damage and she completely respected my wishes while still making me feel brand new after the cut. Best haircut I have ever got

I don’t know where to start but I was excited to visit Twist salon and get my curls pampered but it was left in a bad shape than I came in with, in no way I’m trying to slander a business that other curly ladies could benefit from but to emphasise on the need of businesses to do better. As we started the session the lady told me we would wash the hair and condition since u booked for curly method and everything was fine enough up until the lady decided not to wash off the conditioner and didn’t detangle my hair properly, moving forward my hair is the coily type which does not need to be scrunched at all but she did that resulting in a puffy look instead of what my hair naturally looks like, I was very disappointed to say the least. Moreover, when drying my hair with the blow dryer she nearly burnt my hair with the heat up close to my hair which left me in shock, I left the salon with pure disappointment.All I’m saying from this experience is I would’ve appreciated the lady simply telling me she has no experience handling this type of hair rather than having me experience something like this, after I left my hair was very flaky from the conditioner that was not washed and was mixed with other styling products, I hope the management at twist provides their staff with proper training on different types of curly coily hairs to avoid unnecessary damage. Last but not least, I did not appreciate the ladies speaking in another language when speaking about us, it seemed very judgemental and more of criticism from them which is absolutely unacceptable! I just hope they do better and be able to provide better service for people who have similar hair type.

Based on the recommendation of the Co-owner Irine, I should leave my negative feedback on Google, she actually has a point. WORST HAIR CUT EVER done by Sara,, she just ignored my request and went for what SHE WANTS disregarding anything I said,, I went for it as a hair model so when I complained about the bad service I received their reply was you shouldnt complain ...something along the lines that they didnt do anything wrong .She literally butchered my hair... and no one is taking any accountability,,they will ruin your hair and give you the worst experience ever. I wish i never stepped a foot inside this place. Not even a 1 star rating .sub-zero.
