1847 Grooming for Men The Springs Souk

1847 is a high end male grooming place with many locations around Dubai, but the one in the Springs Souk has a recovery room for people who are training a lot. They have a service with ice bathing, recovery massage and infrared sauna which I often take and it’s great.I also have my haircut here once a month and it’s great.They have other services like manicures and pedicures but I haven’t taken these.All in all a really nice place, great service and a price you’d expect.

The barber experience wasn’t as good because even if you give instructions to them the way you would want your hair cut or beard shaped, they do exactly what suits them which is a no no in my books and probably won’t go back for that. If they listen to the client needs a bit better, they could do a decent job in guessing.The only reason why I’m giving them more stars is because I went there on another day to get a foot massage and that to me was a great experience. The ladies were respectful and did a great job.Massage - GreatHaircut and beard - Not so great.

I just finisher the 90 minutes recovery room, it was a 5 star experience! Every detail was great, massage was my favorite part!The cold plunge wasn’t easy but I managed to get 5 minutes in!Service and attention to detail was just fantastic

From the second you enter until the moment you leave, this place takes care of your every need. 8 years in Dubai and I got the best haircut and shave Ive ever had in my life. Just ask my wife!! My barber Osama worked absolute magic. I look like i lost 10lbs! And he kept up just the perfect amount of conversation. Gave me awesome advice on how to take care of myself better. Had some laughs. Definitely coming back here again for my next cut. Thanks very much Osama if you ever get a chance to read this!

Pretty disappointing haircut, for a basic request. Must have asked 4/5 times for a shorter cut but still didn’t turn out great. Better barbers and haircuts in Dubai for half the price. Poor value for money in my opinion, and impersonal/didn’t listen. Second time there after giving the benefit of the doubt the first time. Won’t be coming back.

Very it and miss at the barbers. They have high staff turnover it seems and the newer barbers just dont get things 100% right. In addition, they overcharge their customers and do not provide what you have booked. Having given them the benefit of any doubt, Im not impressed by the continued lack of attention to detail. Its more worrying considering what they charge. Youre better off visiting Urban Male Lounge for better service and easier on your pocket!

DO NOT GO WITH DEYA BARBER. I’ve been growing out my hair for almost 2 years because I have a particular style I wanted. I went to this barber shop instead of my regular because I wanted a “hair stylist” to get me the style I wanted. I showed him the picture of the hair I wanted only to immediately be told that “I already have it, just needed a little volume reduction” I clearly didn’t but okay I went along with it. I’m not kidding this man cute my volume in half and left me with nothing but stringy garbage homeless looking hair. To the point where my head felt light. He noticed and told me “looking for your hair? It’s here” while making the cleaner show me the FULL tray of hair. 20 min later he said all done. Mind you, my style looks NOTHING like the photo, I pointed this out and he told me to just go home and shower put my products and subhanallah it will magically happen for me, and I was gullible enough to believe him. A day later after trying everything in my power, it’s still disgusting disappointing and very stringy with nothing left to work with. All my work for growing out my hair has been nulled. I complained to the manager and she was extremely apologetic and very helpful and polite but unfortunately the damage has been done. Nothing they can do now. Be mindful if you choose to cut here but under no circumstance should you trust this man deya with a haircut and definitely not with a hairstyle change. 150 dirhams and 2 years down the drain :)

Its taken me 20+years, countless number of barber shops, to finally discover this gem, 1847. I am the kind of guy who enjoys experiences while for some a haircut/beard shave/pedicure etc is a chore, but for me its significantly important personal time. Be it half an hour or an hour or more.Kudos to the minds behind this concept, they have taken the fine art of mens grooming to a completely different level altogether.1847 is located on the 1st floor of the recently opened The Springs Souk Mall. I was greeted by two lovely receptionists when I entered the shop. One from South Africa and the other from Kenya, they were ever so kind to inform about the various services available. I selected The Executive Beard Shave.I was then taken to a cozy waiting area. Small but pretty neat. I was offered water/tea/coffee. I waited for about a minute, when Kamran requested me to proceed for the beard shave.What followed was essentially a trip to Uber excellent service in mens grooming, thorough professionalism was at display, the kind of care/detail and effort Kamran put to carry out the beard shave was incredible, it is the attention to detail that took me aback, whether it was the positioning of my chair, or the temperature of face towel (hot or cold), or kind of lotion I prefer (moisturizer for dry skin, or for oily skin) etc.Moreover, usually the barbers have no clue of the shampoos/conditioners that are used at the shop, however, Kamran was knowledgeable, upon identifying an issue with my skin, he suggested a suitable product, not only did he know end to end about the product he also carried out a demonstration and with such level of intent, I was pleasantly surprised. Afterwards, not only did I buy the shampoo and conditioner, but also bought beard oil and wax.Once the service concluded, I requested the staff to show me around, the pedicure/manicure area is superb, with a personal 24 inch TV, Chromecast connected to each TV, and wireless Sennheiser headset for a disturbance free experience. The massage rooms were pretty nice as well, and then they have a VIP room, approx 20 Sq Mt of private space that included a chair for haircut/beard shave, a reclining chair for pedicure/manicure, a personal bathroom and massage bed.I highly recommend everyone to give this a try, just once, and rest assured, you are going to say bye bye to your existing grooming place and say hello to 1847.To describe my experience as phenomenal, in this case, is a gross understatement.Keep it up guys.

Customer service is shocking here I didnt even end up getting my hair or beard cut in the end as I would have only been seen to almost thirty minutes after my appointment was scheduled for. Iwas informed at my appointment time that the barber would be a few minutes but not 30 minutes. Not sure what the point of appointments is or the higher price tag for services if you cant even speak to your customers or adhere to timings. If I showed up thirty minutes late for my appointment, Im sure they would have given it away. Disappointing to say the least

Update: I was called by the management team who advised that I was given false information and clarified that I could indeed buy a voucher or through another website that my husband would just need to present. No 48 hours required. They were understanding and very professional. Thank you Lucia for your time.Separately, the lady at the front desk was very polite and professional. She could tell I was frustrated and showed exceptional customer care. My husband was also very happy with their quality of service. With this in mind, Im updating my review and rating seeing as they really do go out of their way for exceptional customer care and the service was great.Previous review: I find it surprising that in this day and age a place like this doesnt accept online payment. I booked as a spur of the moment gift for my husband and was told I have to either come in in person to pay or buy an online voucher that is only active after 48 hours. I now have to drive out of my way for 30 minutes because of this archaic payment system.Their call centre asked the branch to call me who then proceeded to start the call as if they had no background about my request and then said as the call centre informed you we dont accept online payments. Zero customer management or relationship management skills. As a first time booker I doubt I will be coming back unless this awful first impression is magically changed through my husbands experience.

Amazing experience all around, had a massage and executive manicure + pedicure. Kanha done her magic with the massage. Would highly recommend Sheena for the manicure and Rein for pedicure. Never had my nails looking so great and healthy like this before. Definitely will come again.

They’ve messed my sons hair soo bad, soo bad, it’s absolutely awful.. Its as if a child cut his hair.. no skill whatsoever. If you can’t cut long hair say you can’t do it.. don’t just chop it off randomly to look like an alien dora the explorer. Anyone can get a job there. Don’t actually need to know how to cut hair. The numpty had the nerve to put some gross products in his hair to try to “salvage” the complete shambles he created. The back is even worse than the front. Zero common sense.

Amazing! Ambience and professionalism was great! I went to the one in Spring Souk and Ousama cut my hair. Reminded me of the hair treatment I used to experience back home. Never quite found someone great to cut my hair ever since I moved to the UAE, but one year later and I think I’ve found my place! Yeah 135AED for a haircut can be abit pricey for some people but it was worth it. Will be back again. Thanks for the great treatment

Been an 1847 customers for more than 6 years now and no other facility, services range or staff can compare to what is delivered throughout all its branches.Personally, I’ve been under the care of Layda, my manicurist, for 3 years now and across 3 branches (they move her around cause she is that good!!) - I wouldn’t and couldn’t trust anyone else to care for my nails.The other superstar is my pedicurist, Cessy, she is by far the only technician that understands how to manoeuvre feet cuticles especially if you are a sport enthusiast. Dealing with ingrown nails with super attention to nails hygiene as well as health; is her super-power.The Captains that makes it all happen in this branch, are Linda and Karen. Super helpful and do go out of their way to accommodate any schedule restrictions that I usually have.Thank you all.

1847 was very welcoming upon entrance. My barber Mr Billy Gray was extremely professional and made me feel at home as soon as I sat in the chair. He performed a clean shave and scissor cut on my hair followed by a beard trim and shape up to the highest degree. Would definitely use Billy again.

My two sons came for a hair cut yesterday. The two men who cut their hair (Deya & Osama) should never be allowed to cut anyone’s hair ever again. They barely used scissors… which you would expect a professional barber to use- my sons came home with hair that looked like the two men got carried away with the shaver machine and completely ruined their entire hair and look. I’m so upset because this is a day before school pictures and I’m trying to salvage what is left of their hair and style it decently.I hope the two men responsible for this mess are never allowed near anyone with good hair again. Because they will just ruin it. Let them stick to crew cut and beards.Additional Edit: 1847 responding to me saying I should email their operation team is not how customer service is handled.

After reading all the good reviews about the amazing haircut people had here, I went here for a finish haircut and sports melt massage, but my experience is just “ok”. It’s not terrible, but just within expectations.Haircut, very average. Any of my previous barbers could have done the same style and some even better.Massage, nothing memorable. The masseuse is professional, kind and focused. But it’s just a very plain massage. I don’t feel much relieved nor stretched afterwards.Definitely I had better haircut and massage elsewhere with cheaper price. I guess you expected more and just disappointed more.

My son just had an amazing haircut with a wonderful gentleman names Bashir at 1847 Springs Souk. He cut and groomed my boy’s hair with great finesse and care. Bashir is an artist. We love it and will be back very soon for my younger boy!!

What an exceptional overall experience! My masseuse had really great technique, and was able to pin point the tension spots in my shoulders. The haircut and beard trim was done well, and my hairdresser gave me good tips and advice to keep my hair healthy here in Dubai.

The experience is fine, the team excellent. Yet as a customer, I believe it is my right to know what to pay in advance. Been there threes times. Three weeks ago I paid 300 AED for the service. I booked the same service on the app, and the cost appeared to be 340 AED. Fine, I said, maybe a master barber difference. Then they charged 440 AED, claiming that I had an extra service of 85 AED, though I had the same service as three weeks ago (and they claim that the extra service cost is 85 AED, the calculator is giving error messages). Stopped arguing, never again; almost 50% difference in 3 weeks..
