I came to this place a few times when I was living in JVC. Normally I would get manicure done with girls from Philippines and I was satisfied with the quality for their price.But one day I made a mistake of getting my hair died with an Indian beautician. While dying my hair she made a stain on my dress and completely ruined my mood. Girls from Philippines tried to help, but the stain did not wash out. In the end I got my favourite dress and mood ruined. After that I did not attend this salon, but a year later decided to get my nails done with a Philippina girl.What did I get? In the middle of manicure process she reminded me about that incident and of course an Indian woman heard it and tried to make a fight. I remember her words saying: “whatever you say, I don’t care, I have many customers”.Eventually it pissed me off and of course I won’t be back again. I was pleasantly surprised by the affordability of Salmas services. Despite the high quality of her work and the extra care she provided, the charges were very reasonable, making the entire experience even more satisfying.In summary, Salma at La Colmena Beauty Hive exemplifies everything you could ask for in a hair stylist and more. I went here to do a protein treatment for my hair because they had a good offer! I wasn’t disappointed at all, the staff was so friendly and sweet: I thought I had lost my car and I was scared and they stayed open for a bit longer to be supportive and that was amazing! The place is a bit small though so I’d suggest making sure that you have a reservation before you visit.As for the treatment, I like the results! However, I did get dandruff after because of the product but it went away quick with a dandruff shampoo so it wasn’t a big issue. I also lost a bit of volume in my hair but that’s common with protein and keratin treatments, so it’s important to keep this in mind before getting the treatment done.Overall, I love this place and the staff, would definitely recommend!

Niloofar did absolutely amazingly! She was so friendly from the get go, and that goes for all the girls. I asked for layers and she couldn’t have done a better job! WOW! I will definitely be coming again 😍

Lovely experience, I came in for a manicure and Nazi’s work is so good. This is the best manicure I’ve had in a very very long time - the perfect file and the perfect application. I’m so happy I found this salon and i’ll definitely be coming back here from now on.I’ve also done threading here which was also a good experience, I’ll also be back for their other services!

Girls please don’t waste your own time or spend money here….I booked two appointments at the same time for two people via Fresha, when we entered the salon they asked why two people were there, keep in mind I paid two deposits. From the second we got there everything was rushed, I lost count how many times the word ‘faster faster’ was used. I questions why it needed to be so fast and the stylist said it wasn’t - it was, i actually wish I left at this point. I did explain that coming to the hairdressers was suppose to be a nice relaxing experience - it wasn’t - again I should have left at this point.Both appointments were for a wash and blow dry, we had to actually ask for our hairs to be washed, the water was absolutely freezing and regardless of how many times it was said it remained freezing. My hair was washed in less in 3 minutes and had to be asked for the remainder of the suds to be washed out from underneath (this was missed due to how rushed it was). the other persons wash was longer due to the stylish attempting to do the first persons hair.When it came to actually drying and styling the hair no questions were asked about ‘what would you like today’ or ‘how do you usually have it’ it was just ‘ok we make waves’. A round brush was used a few times during the blow dry on the ends but no option to add a bit of volume etc, it was mainly blasted dry, flat to the head and to be honest… not actually clean! After blast drying it moose was put into the ends, (even though it was asking not to) blast dried and then curled… if you bent my hair it would have snapped… it was rock hard!The second person asked for some volume product to be put in her hair - this product didn’t exist in the salon and the styles approach to this was silence - her hair was then blast dried with a few brushes used on the ends. We did share that if several round brushes were used and heat was put on it it would give some volume - again silence. When finished the client fixed it & the stylist then took majority of the clients hair and back combed it… guys, it was like straw from the amount of hairspray that was put on it.I asked why two appointments were accepted, if there was one stylist, as it was the worst experience in a hair dresses I’d ever had and I’ve lived all over the world, the stylist just reply ‘our manager accepted it’. So I asked for the manager or owners number which the other ladies working there gave me.When paying the stylist gave discount - what has already been paid in deposit. I did inform the stylist that I would be leaving a review as I didn’t want other to pay for the same experience, they asked me not to. It took 1hr 30min for a wash and blow dry that the outcomes were that terrible we postponed our evening plans to later so we could rewash our hairs ourselves.I did ring the owner and explained that it was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had regarding doing anything, not just getting hair. The lady was extremely thankful for my phone call after I had explain to her that these people and the services received was the face of her business and said she would speak to the ladies & get back to me - she didn’t. I was offered a few blow dry but absolutely not I’ve already wasted 1.5 hours of my life I’m never going to get back.It states ‘it’s more than just a salon it’s an experience’ on their website… and that it certainly was.

My first choice when it comes to salons is always gonna be La Colmena beauty salon. The workers are extremely respectful & exactly provide you for what you ask them for. My family and i always go there to get our beauty work done and never have they ever disappointed us. I think everybody should at least visit this salon once. The staff is extremely neat, and they are really friendly too. I love this salon so much.

Loved the whole experience. Went to do a keratin treatment and Salma was just amazing! She has magical hands and she gives a lot of care and importance to what she does.. Salma is the best! Super customer service. Highly recommended! Also the salon is so cute you get Barbie vibes inside. Please do visit La Colmena if you want your hair to be treated well.. 🩷

My 1st visit and they did not dissapoint! I love the hair color and after so long of searching for the nail color that I want- they have it! Finally. No more going out of JVC- i think i just found a new gem in the community. The services are reasonably cheap and will surely come back. Cant wait to book to book my massage. I thought i was gonna stay for 4 hours or more but 3 services in 2 hours! (Lucky me it wasnt busy). All the staff are so friendly.

I went there for highlights, cut and styling. Even though my hair was black (dyed) it turned out very beautiful. The staff are incredibly nice. Mayada was doing my hair, she is very talented and knows what she is doing, i never expected my hair to turn out this good. Overall a 10/10 experience, they wont let you leave until you are 100% satisfied.

Beautifully decorated little salon in the heart of JVC with knowledgeable and friendly staff. I had the Protien Treatment done by Salma and I am very happy with the end result. Salma made me feel comfortable in her experienced hands and pays a lot of attention to details, taking time to ensure you get the best service. Will definitely visit again!

I chanced upon this beautiful cozy beauty Parlour. The decoration is so beautiful inside. They also have a pink tree in the middle of the floor. They provide good services at reasonable rates. I did a hair protein treatment for AED 299. The staff is friendly too. Must try.

The best place to visit for a pamper time. Booking an appointment was the best decision for me, Jenny & Pauline are the best in doing gel polish 😍😍😍 They were very precise and was able to achieve the color I wanted for such a looooong time, white can be very tricky 😉I would definetely recommend for you to try their services. Ill surely book an appointment on a regular basis from now on. 5 stars for the staff and ambiance of the place 🌟

The ladies at Colmena salon were so lovely. The owner Sana was extremely accommodating and helped me and my friends to get a last minute appointment - even opening the salon early for us. Cute salon and great blow dry too! 🌸
