My hair is fully gray, and unlike other stylists who might push for a color change, Natalie never offers unsolicited advice. Terrible experience. I was so upset with the outcome and how I was treated. I went before hand to have a consultation with Ruben, I thought he listened and understood that I asked for thin natural highlights. I even got the colour palette that my hairdresser in London used.It was awful, the thickest highlights ever, no where near my scalp and the straightest line ever. I was mortified. I asked to see the manager, she made me feel as if I was complaining for no reason and had no sympathy, no one actually apologised!! It was outrageous behaviour. They put a toner which calmed it down but I’ve washed it twice since and you can see the disastrous highlights coming through again. Obviously they didn’t charge me for the horrific result but just be VERY aware of what your expecting when you have Ruben do your hair…. Proceed with caution!!Ps. If anyone thinks the highlights in this photo is normal - then Ruben is for you!! 🤣(The blow dry was actually really good, thanks Jen!)

Really wonderful experience. I wanted a change but wasn’t sure what, so I left it up to Natalie’s expert eye! And she absolutely nailed it. I’ve coming for years for rectifications of disastrous colouring (my hair turned green once at a top tier salon), cuts, balayage, treatment, etc and it always looks on point. First salon who actually cared about the condition of my hair and worked together to fix it and not damage it further and help it get thicker and healthier. Natalie Kasses is an incredibly talented stylist and an extremely knowledgeable hair professional. I have been trusting Natalie with my hair for the past 16 years. Not only is she excellent at her job. Natalie is the Creative Director for Pastels Salon and a L’Oréal Ambassador as well as the Creative Stylist for Dyson. She trains around the Middle East and Asia and often judges for the Colour Trophies. Natalie is an Educator, sharing her expertise with many. She has a lovely disposition and it is a highlight of my day when I know I have an appointment with her. I’ve been going to Rachel for my haircut and color for over a year and I’m honestly so so grateful to have found her. My hair has never looked so shiny and smooth and the color is so beautiful even as a rich dark brown is always luminous and reflective. I like my hair cut straight in the back but she cuts layers around the face that are literally so seamless I can wear it straight and the layers just create this beautiful seamless framing of the face appearing as one length or I can curl the ends and it’s a beautiful bouncy layered look. She just knows instinctively exactly how hair naturally falls and how to create the most effortless model hair look. I highly recommend booking with Rachel she really is incredibly talented and an absolute treasure.

Hands down this is the best salon in Dubai ! Both Ritz Carlton and Al Wasl road salons have provided excellent beauty services since 2008 . I love the ability to have my hair coloured, receive a manicure and eyebrow threading during the same visit .Natalie my hairdresser is the best colourist and stylist in the region. My hair looks healthy and the colour is very flattering to my skin tone.I also had a mani/pedi there, whilst I waited for my hair colour to process. I literally came from the USA for five days to Dubai and the first thing I did was take an appointment with Natalie, because it still wont compare to the best hair stylist anywhere else. And my eyebrows!! Theyre sisters finally! Haha. The lady who does the eyebrows has the smoothest hands, I always ask if shes there even if she can just do a few touch ups its still always worth it. We love Pastels. Natalie is a whiz with my colour. My daughter had a cut with Adam and 3 months later it still looked fabulous. We do nails, wax and threading at same time. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Amazing customer service. Hair stylist Julian did my hair cut and Kerastraight treatment. Most recommended. He did the job with full dedication,great chat amazing results. He is so professional and expert. Will give you the right advice according to the hair type. Very vigilant and perfectionist. Cannot recommend Rachel at this salon highly enough! I had my hair coloured by Rachel here back in February. I had a full head of highlights, olaplex and a cut. Rachels work is exceptional - the colour she did (icey blonde) was incredible and she managed to get the exact tone I wanted while maintaining the health of my hair completely. The cut she did was was also fantastic - months later I am still getting compliments on both the cut and colour. Will be visiting again!

Jen at Pastels did an amazing job for my wedding hair and makeup. She listened carefully to what I wanted, and made it come to life beautifully. It lasted for more than 12 hours, and could have gone on longer. Everything was a breeze to remove because she is so skilled and careful about the products she uses. Loved Jen and will definitely call her next time I have a special occasion.

I have made the mistake of using other salons... Julian and the tram at Pastels rescued my hair. I feel amazing and am so grateful for their advice and excellent colour and styling. I must mention the hair wash... by far the best part of the experience. To be able to lie flat comfortably and have all the tension massaged away is just the begining of a 5 star experience.

I have been going to Pastels for over 10 years. My stylist is the best stylist in the region, (if not the world!😜) but all the stylists are fantastic. The salon is lovely and all staff are very professional. What I really appreciate is the knowledge and honesty about what would be the most beneficial to my hair. I highly recommend this salon.

I just had my hair highlighted and cut by Natalie and I couldn’t be happier with the result. She was extremely helpful and team seemed lovely! I also had a manicure and pedicure which was relaxing, I would definitely come back.

Stewart is a great mens stylist. Listens to what I want but also makes very helpful suggestions. He is always very friendly and professional. I wouldnt have my hair cut by anyone else now he has started cutting/styling my hair.

I’ve been going to Vesna at Pastels at Ritz Carlton JBR since 2012 and wouldn’t consider going to anyone else! Vesna as a hair expert and wonderful person, supporting all my hair colour and style changes over the years; all the warm and welcoming staff and the ambiance of the salon makes each visit a real pleasure and always leaves me walking away with a big smile. And I especially love their hair wash stations, they’re the comfiest in the world- especially with the accompanying head massage!! Truly a wonderful experience on every visit. Highly recommended :)

I was doing research and I was trying to find stylist with European background who is adventures as myself and happy to experiment with my hair! Sasha and Vesna two brilliant professionals who helped me. Now, it’s more than a year gone from my first time meeting Sasha and Vesna, they helped me to find different styles for my hair and we have experimented with crazy colours for my hair from very blond to pink and to metallic purple. I am extremely happy with results every time.I would recomend Pastels Salon at Ritz Carlton on JBR to people who is looking for quality, attention to details, personal approach and friendship.

I’ve had Natalie doing my hair for the last 8 years! She knows the best color for my skin tone and I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

I colores my hair twice at the salon. First was last year. It was nothing impressive and expensive. I decided to give the salon another chance with another stylist. When first I did it, on the same day it was nice then my hair turned white. I went to tone the color down but it become dark brown and never got the color I want. I went to Spain who tried to fix my hair and I paid 40 euro while I paid 900 aed. I feel the salon is overpriced for nothing. I dont know if its the case with all the stylists there as my friend who recommended the place love her stylist but I never tried to do my hair with him. Make sure you try with someone that was recommend by someone else

I want to say a big thank you to Natalie and her team at pastels. I had a different hairdresser on a different salon who was supposed to give me balayage and he dyed my blond her in black. I was in shock as he also completely mistreated me and Im pregnant, which didnt mean anything to him at all. I messaged Natalie crying and she arranged time to see me and did an amazing job bringing my hair back to life. She did something which I thought to be impossible that is lightening my hair dyed in black and in such a good tone! She was also very caring about the quality she would leave my hair in.... her helpers were brilliant!!!Thank you thank you Natalie!! Xx

Had Julian as my hair stylist and to be honest he is really good with Curly Hair and is very friendly, its always hard to find someone who knows how to cut curly hair and style it and im thankful i met Julian, defiantly all my next appointments will be at Pastel with Julian, I highly reccomend him!

I visited this salon last week. It is located in Ritz Carlton JBR very nice location. Stall was very friendly and helpful here. Salon was very clean and hygienic. Stall was following all the guidelines of government. I had a good time there

I visited your salon for a blow dry yesterday and i was so disappointed and i do not think i will ever come back or recommend anyone to go back, these are my reasons:1_ my hair was done by someone not senior and it was not done properly2_ the staff thought i was a tourist and over charged me for the service, i paid 315 for a wavy blow dry and i have enevr paid this much in any salon and definitely not by a junior hair dresser.I was gonna make this salon my go to salon since it is close to home but now i will never ever go there again and i will tell everyone i know how they technically double charged me thinking i was a tourist. As if its ok to overcharge tourists anyway. Yesterday was my birthday and i wanted to leave the salon happy and instead i left it angry and feeling mugged!

This salon cares too much for reputation and not about what the client wants. I called ahead and discussed what I wanted and got childcare and when I arrived the stylist was too scared to do what I asked. I respect the “training” and education but give me a break.

I went yesterday to cut and color my hair and it was the best experience ever. Vesna is amazing girl and I am very happy with the results. I highly recommend them!

This salon is highly over-rated. The senior colorist and manager colored and cut my hair-not impressed. The cut was meh and the highlights lacked any real technique. For a $1000 USD day at the salon I expected a lot more.

The place is very small and crowded. This branch needs renovation for sure. I prefer the Al wasl branch. If you are claustrophobic, it’s a place to avoid.

Perfectly scandalous welcome: hotel guest at 1000 USD per day, not only do they not agree to add their bill to that of the hotel, but refuse to treat your nails if you are in a bathrobe provided by the hotel . Change jobs ladies!!!! (There is an excellent salon at Le Méridien right next door, if ever..)

I dyed my hair and did a pedicure and manicure. Their work was professional and clean, and even the employees were very nice ♥️ (There is a separate section for those who prefer privacy)
